 What you will get from HY-DY's Yoga Teacher Training

 

Techniques/Training/Practice:  Includes asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, mantra meditation and other traditional yoga techniques; analytical in-depth training as to how to practice various yoga techniques, and how to guide yourself and others to comprehensively reap the benefits of the practice.

Participant Prerequisites:  Applications are available following contact and verbal screening from program director. The application process entails  verbal, written, and physical interaction  for director  and the applicant to establish a good fit for program participation. Applicants do not have to be advanced in Yoga Asanas to be accepted, however, a willingness to mindfully grow through full participation in mind, body, and spiritual  expansion is essential.  Also important is your vision, motivation, and commitment to furthering humankind through the Yoga profession.   Medical clearance from physician is requested. (There is no screening process for CEUs applicants.) ​ Understand and deepen whole-human life support practices useful throughout the lifespan, and  learn to teach others to do the same. Certify in-person or on-line. ​ Cost $2,000 ($500 additional for special modules) ​ Cost includes - training supplies, resource materials, HY-DY's videos & audio products.  Participants are requested to have access to Zoom and Dropbox.  Full course payment or $500 deposit required, following applicant's final screening, before course starts. Short installment payment plans available  for individuals if needed. All payments accepted through checks, PayPal, CashApp ($Myinfohydyinc) or Zelle (hydyinc@gmail.com) ​

Teaching Methodology:  Includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting and correcting,  group-specific pedagogy with consideration for each student's learning style.   Course content also includes the business aspects of teaching yoga in diverse settings. (CEUs offered) Anatomy and Physiology: Includes guiding the learner through each bodily system and the accompanying major/subtle physiological changes typically occurring at each stage of adult life.   Includes both the study of A & P and comprehensive application of its principles to yoga practice, its benefits, contraindications, and healthy movement patterns. (CEUs offered) Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics:  Includes the study and application of yoga principles, yoga integration into personal lifestyle, and standards/ethics for quality yoga teachers. Whole-human development emphasized. Shaping Shades of Gray (program specialization module targeting young and older seniors) Focuses on traditional and current age-appropriate Yoga techniques that comprehensively address the needs of  55 and older age groups. (CEUs offered) ​ Protective Service Providers (program specialization module targeting protective service providers e.g., police, first responders, security guards) targets those who are providers in the field or those who want to teach Yoga to those in the profession. (CEU's offered)
